Thursday, 24 November, 2016 - 04:30

More than 300 Egyptian parliamentarians have supported the draft resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide. The resolution is reported to be adopted before the end of this year.

The consideration of this resolution continues against the background of worsening relations between Egypt and Turkey. The countries have different views on many fundamental problems of the region, including the Syrian crisis. Moreover, Ankara has accused Cairo of supporting Gülen and his followers.
