Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte has announced about the country’s decision to follow Russian example to withdraw from the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Rodrigo Duterte said: «They are useless, those in the International Criminal [Court]. They [Russia] withdrew. I might follow».

He explained that the West did not stop criticizing the Philippines fight against drug-related crimes.

The Philippines, as well as Russia, have signed the Rome Statute but have not yet ratified it.

Meanwhile, the United States was the first country, which signed the withdrawal, which came from the ICC immediately after entering its troops in Afghanistan.
