The election has occurred; Trump will take office in January; many of the existing Party Nomenklatura will be replaced; different policies will be announced – but actually taking power (rather than just sitting in the White House) will be more complex. The U.S. has devolved into many disparate fiefdoms – almost princedoms – from the CIA to the Justice Department. And regulatory ‘agencies’ too, have been implanted to preserve Nomenklatura hold on the System’s lifeblood.

On October 24, 2024 Joe Biden signed a memorandum with a long title: “…on Advancing the United States’ Leadership in Artificial Intelligence; Harnessing Artificial Intelligence to Fulfill National Security Objectives; and Fostering the Safety, Security, and Trustworthiness of Artificial Intelligence.”

Crisis looms over the Trump movement in its moment of victory, and it is a crisis of narrative. The old accounts of who Trump is, what he has accomplished, and what he and his cause are destined to achieve no longer apply. Because this will be the second time Trump enters the White House as a revolutionary, the second time he assumes leadership promising a definitive reckoning. And politicians in general—and politicians like him in particular—aren’t supposed to have a reckoning with themselves.

As you know, “whoever pays, dances the girl,” and this is no exception for the US political system. Certain forces are interested in the victory of one or another candidate — some from ideological beliefs, others in order to protect their commercial interests, and the third – in order to keep afloat their participation in the political game.
