“The campaign against Soros who comes from a Hungarian Jewish family, uses in parts elements of the classical repertoire of antisemitism: the finance mogul who wants to dominate the world and who leads his agents like a puppeteer.”
Since Viktor Orban exposed Soros’ role especially in the pro-migration lobby in Europe and in particular in Hungary, a whole pan-European liberal media network has been attacking Orban’s fortress. No day passes without new attacks, accusations and threats against the Hungarian prime minister.
Especially the liberal anti-Orban media campaign puts a spotlight on a Soros-financed project which has been operating since 1995, more or less hidden with the purpose of framing and influencing the political landscape in Europe and other parts of the world. Its name sounds more like the title of a “Godfather” episode, rather than that of a liberal NGO: “Project Syndicate”. The organisation is located in the Czech capital Prague, which is not very surprising. After the collapse of the USSR, Eastern European states such as Czechia – but also Poland and Hungary – quickly became hubs for Western intelligence services and propaganda stations. It is no coincidence that the notorious US-congress financed propaganda medium Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) is located in Prague too.
Boasting about their power to influence
“Project Syndicate” plays the role of the western liberal “battleship” of opinion shaping, perhaps the most powerful media network on the globe. “Project Syndicate” displays no false modesty in its own description:
“Project Syndicate produces and delivers original, high-quality commentaries to a global audience. Featuring exclusive contributions by prominent political leaders, policymakers, scholars, business leaders, and civic activists from around the world, we provide news media and their readers with cutting-edge analysis and insight, regardless of ability to pay. Our membership includes over 500 media outlets – more than half of which receive our commentaries for free or at subsidized rates – in more than 156 countries.”
The NGO distributes its commentaries in English and 13 translated languages such as Arabic, Chinese, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Kazakh, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
Member publications translate into 50 additional languages. “Project Syndicate” says about itself:
“We devote enormous resources to translating our commentaries into 13 languages. Providing these translations, often free of charge, enables editors worldwide to publish our commentaries simultaneously, thus encouraging debate on a global scale.”
This already alone makes this Soros project, which is devoted to the ideology of the so-called “open society” of Karl Popper, one of the most powerful and influential political weapons in recent information warfare. “Project Syndicate” can at any time initiate a media “carpet bombing” either to attack or to defend certain personalities, structures or ideas.
Foreign funded propaganda infrastructure
The precise information about how this ambitious organisation can generously offer their “cutting edge” material “for free or at subsidized rates” has not been made official, but it has however published a list of financial supporters. Hardly surprisingly, these include the George Soros flagship the Open Society Foundation, but also contributors such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, the MasterCard Foundation, the European Climate Foundation, the European Journalism Centre and the Google Digital News Initiative. It represents a mix of globalist political and financial forces, in other words.
So what exactly does “Project Syndicate” do? On March 4, French president Emmanuel Macron made an appeal in an opinion piece titled “Renewing Europe”. This article was published simultaneously in countless widely circulated media outlets in whole of Europe at about the same time.
Also, TV stations reported on the initiative and quoted Macron. Die Welt, the Guardian, El País and Corriere della Serra all ran the same article on the same day. No European media has revealed exactly how and why such an article was spread and published in a very organised way – it was steered through the “Project Syndicate” channel.
“Renewing Europe” perfectly represents the main ideological theme of Soros and the “Project Syndicate” in a sophisticated type of doublespeak. Among other things, Macron suggests the creation of a new centralized EU intelligence service to oppress the Eurosceptic opposition. But in his words it sounds like this:
“The European model is based on the freedom of man and the diversity of opinions and creation. Our first freedom is democratic freedom: the freedom to choose our leaders as foreign powers seek to influence our vote at each election. I propose creating a European Agency for the Protection of Democracies, which will provide each member state with European experts to protect their election processes against cyber-attacks and manipulation. In this same spirit of independence, we should also ban the funding of European political parties by foreign powers. We should have European rules banish all incitements to hate and violence from the Internet, since respect for the individual is the bedrock of our civilisation of dignity.”
It does not need a too deep analysis of these words to see what Macron and his allies of “Project Syndicate” really want: A “European Agency for the Protection of Democracies” which will be controlled by the Brussels structures to defame any oppositional rising force as “foreign funded” and any oppositional opinion on social platforms as “hate and violence from the internet”.
The fact that Macron is using the partly foreign funded NGO “Project Syndicate” to spread his propaganda against Eurosceptic forces provide proof of how serious he is with his ban of “ the funding of European political parties by foreign powers”. It would have perhaps been more honest to write which foreign powers are deemed to “acceptable” financial donors and which are not. But too much honesty is neither part of the ideological framework of Macron nor of “Project Syndicate”.
The Anti-European Who’s Who
Not only has the French president the benefit of taking advantage of the media network of “Project Syndicate”, but the list of authors who frequently publish translated opinion articles which are spread at super high speed around the globe, seems like a complete “who’s who” of those forces who want to destroy European identity and sovereignty, those who fight against the family unit and those who support abortion and mass migration at the same time.
One could call “Project Syndicate” an assembly of the world’s most notorious anti-European writers, politicians, intellectuals and businessmen.
Hausmann claims that such a military attack against the Caracas government “may be the only way to end a man-made famine threatening millions of lives”. Later he compares the situation in Venezuela to the so-called “Holodomor” in Ukraine in the early 1930s. The term stands for a famine, allegedly caused by Stalin’s governance. The chosen name “Holodomor” by Ukrainian propaganda is no coincidence, since it sounds similar to the “Holocaust”.But not just Europe is under attack by Soros’ “Project Syndicate”. In a widely spread opinion article by Ricardo Hausmann, former minister of planning of Venezuela and former Chief Economist of the Inter-American Development Bank, from January this year, the author openly dreams about a “D-Day Venezuela” – in other words: about military intervention.
But neither “Project Syndicate” nor Hausmann himself have told their global audience that Ricardo Hausmann was minister in Venezuela 1989-1993 before Hugo Chavez became president. Right after Chavez took over the government, Hausmann migrated to USA from where he organised the anti-Chavez campaigns with US support.
In 2016, today’s president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, called Hausmann the spin doctor of the economic war against Venezuela, that created the famine. At this very moment, there are numerous oil tankers off Venezuela’s shores filled with hundreds of millions of dollars worth of Venezuelan oil. Only the economic war against Venezuela prevent this wealth to be turned into food for the starving population.
But once again, Hausmann’s opinion piece was published simultaneously in countless leading media outlets.
Pushing US meddling
It is not surprising that “Project Syndicates” advocates US meddling and interference – since this is precisely the political theme of the “Open Society” warlords gathered around George Soros. No wonder that in mid-January this year, Aryeh Neier, a founder of Human Rights Watch, was pointing at Brazil’s newly elected president Jair Bolsonaro and demanding that the US “play a pivotal role in advancing human rights”.
Neier, who served as the president of George Soros’s Open Society Institute from 1993 to 2012, does not waste any time to come straight to the point in his article, which is presented as a battle plan: “Bolsonaro is not alone. The leaders of China, Russia, India, Turkey, and the United States also are largely hostile to human rights, as are many of their counterparts elsewhere. And governments still committed to human rights, notably Germany, often face domestic political opponents fuelled by xenophobic nationalism. Unsurprisingly, this hostility has been creating many victims. Chinese human-rights lawyers and Turkish journalists languish in prison. Brazil’s police have summarily executed suspected petty criminals. And Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has attacked his opponents with barrel bombs and chemical weapons.”
With the “Project Syndicate” George Soros and his accomplices surreptitiously installed a strong and influential monopoly for marketing global opinion – a type of global mass media without being a real corporate institution. And not surprisingly, the leaders of “Project Syndicate” use doublespeak to explain their noble mission to a world wide audience: “All people – wherever they live, whatever their income, and whatever language they use – deserve equal access to a broad range of views by the world’s foremost leaders and thinkers on the issues, events, and forces shaping their lives.”
But who those “world thinkers” are, is decided by “Project Syndicate”, who provides anything but a “broad range of views”. State leaders such as Viktor Orban would never be allowed into this network, as they recognise the danger of Soros’ controlled opinion penetration.
