NATO opens liaison office in Chișinău

PM of Moldova Pavel Filip held talks with Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.

Filip said: «I saw headlines saying that, after Bulgaria, Moldova was also lost to the EU. It’s not true».

As a result of these talks, the agreement was signed. NATO is going to open a liaison office in Moldova.

Jens Stoltenberg added: «This office will allow us to help Moldova in achieving the reforms and communicate more easily about what NATO's support. It's a small civilian office, not a military base».

However, the date of the opening is not known yet.
