Venezuelan Foreign Minister beaten during Mercosur trade bloc meeting

Representatives of Secretaría de Inteligencia (Argentine Secretariat of Intelligence) used physical force to neutralize Venezuelan Foreign Minister Delcy Rodriguez at the Mercosur trade bloc summit.

Venezuela is now the presidency of the Mercosur Latin American regional economic bloc, with which Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil, led by pro-Western elites, disagree. Argentina’s Foreign Minister Susana Malcorra has said that this post of the presidency should come to her country, even without any voting and any discussions with the other members of the bloc, including Uruguay.

Today the Mercosur trade bloc summit is going to be held, in which Venezuelan representatives were not event invited to participate. Despite this fact, Delcy Rodriguez has decided to take part in this meeting, which was supported by the leadership and the society of Venezuela.
