Tuesday, 13 December, 2016 - 09:45

There was an explosion at the military base in Ulsan in South Korea, probably because of the non-compliance of the safety regulations. 20 people were injured, 5 of them were hospitalized.

The incident has happened against the background of tripartite consultations between Washington, Seoul and Tokyo. And South Korean Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn said that “cyberwar with North Korea has already begun”.

Hwang Kyo-ahn emphasized that some cyber threats were from Pyongyang, adding that at the moment South Korea did not have the sufficient capacity to prevent them, because even the computer of the Minister of Defence was damaged. Despite the fact that among the examples of North Korea's cyber warfare Hwang Kyo-ahn gave several examples of not only intelligence, but also actions aimed at disabling the military equipment. About the possible fault of other countries in the explosion at the base Ulsan is not reported.
