Putin congratulated Muslims

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Russian Muslims on the holiday of Eid al-Adha, which is considered one of the biggest holidays of Islam.

In Putin's congratulatory statement it was noted  that this holiday "would incorporate them (Muslims) to the timeless values ​​of Islam, has a caring and respectful attitude to the ancient history, the customs and precepts of ancestors." The President is pleased that Russian Muslims celebrate and honor the covenants of the ancestors.

In addition, Putin stated that "the Muslim community is actively involved in the country's life, makes a significant contribution to the education of youth, inter-religious and inter-ethnic dialogue development."
