Thousands of Peruvians gathered to protest against on the Trans-Pacific Partnership’s agreement, initiated by the US. The protest actions are being held on the eve of Peru parliament session, during which the liberals of the pro-American parties «Peruvians for Change» and «Popular Force» are expecting to raise the issue of speeding up the ratification of the TPP.

Tiro Prado, one of the organizers of the mess, informs that the protesters are not satisfied with the ratification of this agreement, which definitely aimed at desovereignization of participating countries, including Peru. It is passing without discussion in the Parliament and without bringing it up to referendum.

The Peruvian police are trying to quell the protests harshly by using tear gas and rubber bullets. However, the march continues.

It can be added, that the prominent representatives of indigenous peoples : the president of the Parliamentary Commission of Andean, Amazonian and Afro-Peruvian Peoples María Elena Foronda, the representative of Quechua Tanya Parione, The Congressman Manuel Dammert rightly considered that the agreement on the TPP will allow appropriation of resources and knowledge of their ancestors. Tiro Prado emphasizes: «The ratification has serious implications for national sovereignty».

South Korea has already faced with such problem in its economy, failing to ratify the unsustainable agreement, where the American «big business» began redistribution of the market.
