In Georgia, at the military base "Vaziani" near Tbilisi on July 31, 2017, launched the next NATO exercise "Noble Partner-2017" which will last until August 12.

Provocation

In the maneuvers involved units of the five countries of the North Atlantic alliance - the United States, Britain, Germany, Turkey, and Slovenia, as well as the armed forces of Georgia, Ukraine, and Armenia. It is noteworthy that the number of US military participating in the exercise is twice the number of servicemen of the host country (1,600 against 800).

Among the military equipment that will be used in the Noble Partner-2017 exercise, the American main battle tanks M1A2 Abrams and infantry fighting vehicles (MFB) M2 Bradley, armored personnel carriers Stryker (USA) and Boxer (Germany) - up to 500 combat vehicles. American and German armored vehicles have already been delivered from Germany via Bulgaria to the Georgian port of Poti, and from there marched to the military base of Vaziani, passing through the cities of Senaki, Kutaisi, Khashuri and Gori.

It's interesting that Jan Kelly, the US ambassador to Georgia, who attended the opening ceremony, said that NATO maneuvers are aimed at carrying out peacekeeping operations.
We remember what "peacekeeping operations" were conducted by Georgia in 2008. It is not surprising that the military maneuvers are timed precisely for the anniversary of Tbilisi's aggression against South Ossetia.

The words of the American diplomat were refuted by Georgian Defense Minister Levan Izoria, who made statements about the military threat coming from Russia and expressed concern over the military presence of it in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, which Georgia regards as its "occupied territories".
