Syria took control of the border with Jordan

Optimistic messages come from Syria. The resistance of militants in the provinces of Daraa and Suwayda is practically broken. The government Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has occupied a number of checkpoints on a large stretch of the Syrian-Jordanian border. In addition, she took under her complete control the road Damascus - Amman to the border of Jordan. This allowed to achieve an end to the resistance of anti-government militants in the settlements of Nasib and Um-al-Miyazan.

The "green" in them joined the reconciliation process, in fact surrendering to Russian military representatives under their guarantees. The main border crossing "Nasib" on the border with Jordan raised the Syrian flag on July 6, and today the peace process has gone, what they call, a landslide.

Almost the entire province of Daraa to one degree or another stopped resisting. It is now expressed mainly in two forms - in some villages militants are asked to give them time to think, in others they promise to surrender only to the Russian military.

Fears of militants can be understood: it was with the unrest in Daraa that the civil war in Syria began in 2011. And before that, the inhabitants of the province were characterized by a violent and irreconcilable nature, more than once raising uprisings against Damascus. Actually, even today the armed opposition is seriously trying to play a map of refugees against the Syrian government. Literally, tens of thousands of civilians were forced to withdraw from their seats and flee to the Jordanian and Israeli borders. Further - it is clear and transparent: refugee camps, indignation of the international (that is, the western) public. But the plan was thwarted - neither the Israeli nor the Jordanian leadership such "happiness" turned out to be unnecessary. The failed refugees had to return back.

The Anxiety of Israel and the Silence of the United States

Of course, not everything goes smoothly. Some of the militants do not stop resistance. The tension of the situation is growing with a gradient to the west. Where is the Israeli border, and where near this border is the area occupied by the militants of the Islamic State.

Observers also fear that Israel, near the borders of which these events occur, can assume an unconstructive role.

It has recently been reported that Israeli forces fired upon a Syrian government unit, allegedly in response to mines that fell on its territory. And although the agreement that the Syrian troops will occupy strictly those positions that occupied before the war is achieved, and there is an understanding of both sides on this issue, there are still a lot of unknown people in the situation. It is not known, for example, who the Israeli army will bring down the fire, if the IG militants want to arrange a provocation, when they begin sweeping by the government forces. Experience shows that the Israeli military in any case prefer to shoot at the troops of Damascus.

To this, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ensured the freedom of the hands for any action. "Bibi" said on the eve of his visit to Moscow that he intends to tell Russian President Vladimir Putin that the Jewish state will not tolerate the consolidation of Iranian forces in Syria.

It is clear that any Shia group in Syria, including the most native one, can be declared "Iranian" forces. The same, say, Hezbollah. The pro-Israel grouping in Syria is only one - only from the IS Israel saw no attacks, and he never attacked him. That is why the observers are waiting for any unpleasant surprises from Israel, when the Syrian army is coming to release terrorists from their enclave near the Israeli border.

However, the victory over terrorists will not even be canceled. This shows the current situation in Daraa.
