The Syrian Arab Air Force (SAAYF) launched a large number of airstrikes over the northern Hama front on Thursday night after the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and their jihadist allies fired several rockets towards the government-controlled villages.

According to a military source in the Hama Governorate, the Syrian Air Force conducted airstrikes over the villages of Taybat Al-Imam, Souran, Kawkab, Al-Lataminah, and Kafr Zita.

The military source added that these airstrikes caused significant damage to the jihadist defenses, while also providing relief to the exhausted soldiers of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).

In the coming days, the Syrian Arab Army is expected to launch a large-scale offensive in the northern Hama countryside, as they look to recapture the territory they lost to the jihadist rebels over the last three weeks.
