India is to purchase Russian S-400 "Triumph" for $ 6 billion

India and Russia  have signed an agreement on the purchase of thw  anti-aircraft missile systems S-400. This was stated by Defense Minister Jaswant Singh. According to him, India expects that deliveries will begin "as soon as possible."

In December 2015, the Indian press reported that the country's Defense Ministry approved the purchase of five  S-400 and six thousand missiles worth about six billion dollars.

In March 2016 the deputy head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Service Vladimir Drozhzhov said that Russia has prepared a draft agreement for delivery of S-400 and referred it for signature to the Indian side.
