Dr. Saif al-Islam: to move the elections as quickly as possible to save Libya

Dr. Saif al-Islam Muammar al-Qadhafi  called for the Libyan presidential elections.

A member of the political team of Saif al-Islam Muammar al-Qadhafi , Mohamed al-Gilushie  said to me in a telephone conversation: "Saif al-Islam has called for the Libyan presidential elections to be held as soon as possible."

Mohamed al-Gilushie  also criticized the UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, for his proposal to postpone the elections until the end of 2019.

«Saif al-Islam believes that any    delay causing more problems, and the only solution to the growing problems in Libya, is the elections», he said.

Asked about the possibility of Saif al-Islam's candidacy for the presidential elections, Gilushie said: "This is a personal decision left to the sword of Saif al-Islam's  itself."
