Brandenburg, Germany - Informal talks between German Chancellor Angela Merkel and European Council President Donald Tusk.

Germany - In connection with recent terrorist attacks, the heads of the Interior Ministries of Germany’s federal states belonging to the ruling Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party will speak in favor of shortening regulations for deporting migrants, increasing the number of video cameras in police and public places, and banning the wearing of the burqa. All of these demands are contained in a draft statement set to be signed on August 18th by German Interior Minister Thomas de Maizière and German federal states’ interior ministers.
