Thirty people dead, 43 others wounded in two terrorist bombings in Tartous

30 civilians were killed and 43 others were injured in twin terrorist bombings in Tartous countryside on Monday.

One of the two terrorist blasts was carried out by a car bomb which exploded at Arazona Bridge on the international highway in Tartous countryside, followed by another terrorist bombing carried out by a suicide bomber with an explosive belt who blew himself up after the citizens gathered to take the wounded to the hospital, a source at Tartous Police Command stated.

For his part, Director of al-Basel hospital in Tratous Mohammad Hussein said that the death toll from the twin terrorist bombings has risen to 30 civilians, adding that 43 others were wounded.

Tartous Governor Safwan Abu Sa’adi visited the people injured in the terrorist bombings who are receiving treatment at al-Bassel Hospital in Tartous, and later he inspected the sites of the bombings, witnessing the damage caused to the sites and the work being done by civil defense and other sides to remove burnt cars, fallen trees, dust, and other debris caused by the attack.
