The Ukrainian war for lithium

31.10.2024

There are moments in History that are characterized by a strong economic component, so predominant that we are said to be facing a revolution, passing through the ever dramatically present moment of war. Since the end of the 19th century that the world has been witnessing wars over oil; now, however, we have been a few years into those over rare earths, among which lithium, a mineral indispensable for smartphones and especially electric cars, plays a privileged role.

Why Israel must avoid an all-out war against Iran in its self-interest

On October 7 last year, Israel was rocked by a horrendous terror attack marshalled by Hamas, an offshoot of the  Muslim Brotherhood. Around 1500 people perished in the strike—an event that a shell-shocked nation has been unable to digest.

My very personal view of Russia's conduct of the war

10.10.2024

My analysis is not aimed at Russia's military strategy in Ukraine, and even less at the tactical level. From the outside, I am convinced that Russia has succeeded in thwarting NATO's attempt to advance through its Ukrainian armed wing. Moscow is facing up to the West's considerable intelligence and information capabilities. The West is financing the Ukrainian war and supplying cutting-edge military equipment. If this were not the case, Ukraine would have been defeated long ago.

Now that Genocide Joe has chickened out of the November POTUS election, we should have peace for our time in Ukraine by the end of the year and war for Iran shortly afterwards. That is because the Trump/Vance team should romp home to victory in November. Not only are both Trump and Vance keen to cut a deal with Russia, and not only are both firmly in Israel’s pocket, but Vance is easily the most rabidly anti-Iranian and pro-Israeli coyote in the top tier of American politics. Expect, then, the American/NATO war machine to pivot away from Ukraine, to keep China on ice and to focus on Iran, Israel’s most recent bête noire.

Towards a New World War?

09.07.2024

Curiosity, rumor and equivocation have not ceased to constitute the fundamental elements of the Heideggerian “inauthentic existence” (uneigentliche Existenz) of the alienated world promoted by the deceitful performances of the culture industry. The curiosity of public opinion, i.e., the “inability to dwell on that which is presented,” is fed by the continuous diversion of attention to new objects placed ad hoc in the foreground through organized manipulation, in order to tame minds and mold them according to the ideological order.
