Fethullah Gülen: "I will cast the Azerbaijani authorities in the Caspian Sea"

Tuesday, 23 August, 2016 - 17:30

The former coordinator of the Gülen movement in the Caucasus Hayati Küçük , who occupied a key position in this movement, and managed Gulen schools in Georgia  gave a sensational interview with the Turkish newspaper Sabah.

In an interview H.Kuchuk told that during his gullenist movement leadership he got a call from Baku. The caller complained to Gülen that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and the government were pushing and restricting the gullenists. In response Gülen began rattling threats of the Azerbaijani authorities, stating that he will "throw them all into the Caspian Sea."

H.Kuchuk also stated that followers of Gullen act secretly.

"Azerbaijan gullenists operate secretly. And a lot of them are out there. Gülen has always said that we do not leave the places where one came. He said that, despite the fact that the closure of some schools in the Russian Federation, others are still operating in Russia.

The overthrow of President Ilham Aliyev was also plotted at the gullenist meeting in Pennsylvania.

Note that Hayati Küçük served in the Gülen movement for 25 years . However, three years ago he left the organization.

Azerbaijan has recently opened a criminal case against the gullenists.

More background on Gulen from Katehon:

Given that Gülen has cooperated with the CIA for a long time and knows too much that could be revealed to the Turkish side, Turkey’s chances of getting him are virtually zero. The main task which US officials and Biden are trying to resolve is maintaining Turkish-American relations without having to extradite Gulen. A possible solution to the problem could be the physical elimination of the preacher.
