Some people may falsely assume that the upcoming and currently in formation Eurasian Confederation is not an independent movement and phenomenon and that it is a reactionary movement to Washington and NATO’s ever Eastward expansion policy. And within this new phenomenon, we have two organizations – the Eurasian Confederation and the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Council) which is much more expansive.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) was created in 2001 as a comprehensive regional institution focused on Asian security and economic development. Ideologically, it is social-nationalist featuring a strong state, cultural and regional nationalism and a spiritual focus in contradistinction to western materialism, capitalism and socialism.
