Turkey and Russia have been working tirelessly to normalize relations that had been on hold for seven months. Top officials started to pay reciprocal visits and they ratified several energy, trade, and military agreements accordingly.
All-in-all, Russia’s intervention in Syria was a political and a military victory both for Russian diplomacy as well as for the Russian armed forces. Unlike Washington, Russia is too keen to find itself in Middle Eastern quagmire nightmares which have dampened Washington’s ever hegemonic spirit during the past 15 years, because unlike Washington, Russia has a clear exit strategy, one which we all just witnessed in Syria.
