Alliance Between Russian Nationalist Right and European Right Forces

The alliance between Russia’s nationalist right and European right-wing forces represents not merely a political coalition, but an inevitable flow oriented toward civilizational return. The liberal universalism and globalism promoted by Western modernity have dismantled the traditional values and communal order that each nation has preserved, resulting in cultural homogenization and spiritual devastation across Europe.

One of the ideological sources of this liberal globalism can be traced to philosopher Karl Popper and his disciple George Soros. Popper advanced the concept of “open society,” which fundamentally rested on the premise that ‘traditional and communal values should be dismantled through criticism.’

Soros faithfully inherited this ideology and, through his Open Society Foundations, financially supported “democratization” and “color revolutions” in various countries. As a result, existing state orders were destabilized, cultural identities were dismantled, and societies became unstable. In other words, Soros being called a “state destroyer” today is a consequence of the inherent dangers within his mentor Popper’s ideals.

The only force capable of resisting this crisis is the “traditionalist right” current that transcends national boundaries in solidarity. Russia has risen to defend values such as faith, family, and fatherland. Meanwhile, European right-wing forces are also seeking new ideological directions, aiming to restore the long-suppressed Christian spirit and ethnic pride.

The collaboration between these two represents a clear rejection of the destructive forces brought about by Popper and Soros’s “open society” model. It is an attempt to construct a “multipolar world” based on indigenous traditions, opposing the global order promoted by Atlanticism. This presents a new civilizational model that emphasizes cooperation while respecting the uniqueness of nations and cultures.

From this perspective, the cooperation between Russian and European far-right movements is not merely tactical rapprochement, but solidarity bearing the historical mission of opposing the order established by Popper and Soros. What exists here is nothing other than a collective will to transcend the anti-divine order that has prevailed since modernity and to open new civilizational possibilities.

The symbolic stage for this is the “International Russophile Movement (IRM),” an international pro-Russian movement ideologically and organizationally led by Dr. Alexander Dugin and Mr. Malofeev. The 2024 conference featured participation from high-ranking Russian government officials, including Foreign Minister Lavrov. The IRM has indeed become a venue that transcends ideology and politics, demonstrating to the world a new solidarity of continental civilization.
