Geng Shuang, spokesman of Chinese Foreign Ministrysaid: «China resolutely opposes conducting nuclear tests. To achieve denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, maintain peace and stability on the peninsula, and resolve nuclear issues through peaceful means like dialogue and negotiation; that is the consistent position of China. We have reiterated that China supports the U.N. Security Council in taking more resolutions on the fifth nuclear test by the DPRK ».
