Brexit in conditions of crisis in the economy and immigration policy could lead to a chain reaction in other EU countries. This should bother the European leaders, as in their countries the position of Eurosceptics is as strong as ever. In France, the National Front leader Marine Le Pen - the most popular politician in the country, in the Italian regions controlled by "Northern League" the process of eliminating anti-Russian sanctions began, contrary to Rome. In Germany, the new party "Alternative for Germany" has become the third most popular political force in the country. Eurosceptic sentiments are strong among the supporters of the CSU - the largest ally of Merkel itself.
The liberal Union is bursting at the seams. At the same time, after the UK exits EU, Europe has a chance to create a truly continental union that is not focused on the US and global plutocracy, but on the national interests of the peoples of Europe. However, it is obvious that the present EU elite is not able to create a viable geopolitical entity. Brexit is a demonstration of their failure and signals the collapse of the liberal and multicultural project.
The UK leaving the EU will be the main topic of the EU Summit, which will take place on June 28th-29th in Brussels. European elites will decide what to do with a growing dissatisfaction with the EU project, which is on the rise due to the UK’s decision.
