Is the Trump ‘mystique’ broken? Does MAGA sense betrayal?

The Epstein cloud is metastasizing and becoming a rallying point for deep-seated popular alienation from certain ruling strata. The public begrudgingly has become resigned to accept that their ‘rulers’ routinely lie and steal, but nonetheless they (particularly within the MAGA faction) have dimly come to understand that there may be vice within the body public which they regard as too detestable to imagine.

What means ‘winning’?

At one level, Iran plainly ‘won’. Trump had wanted to be regaled with a reality-TV style, splendid ‘Victory’. Sunday’s attack on the three nuclear sites indeed was loudly proclaimed by Trump and Hegseth as such – having ‘obliterated’ Iran’s nuclear enrichment programme, they claimed. ‘Destroyed it completely’, they insist.

Trump-Musk Conflict

The conflict between Trump and Musk was a long time coming in hindsight. Each has a very strong personality, a unique worldview, and is among the most popular people on the planet. This combination of factors made it almost inevitable that they’d clash since neither wants to subordinate themselves to the other. Everything remained manageable, however, until the House passed Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” and then Trump withdrew Musk ally Jared Isaacman’s nomination as Administrator of NASA.

 

‘Transition’ to a new world order is beyond most in the West

Even the need for transition – just to be clear – has only just begun to be recognised in the U.S. For the European leadership however, and for the beneficiaries of financialisation who haughtily lament Trump’s ‘storm’ unwisely unleashed on the world, his base economic theses are ridiculed as bizarre notions completely divorced from economic ‘reality’.
