Pauken’s concerns are wide-ranging; they are cultural, economic, and political. First of all, I do not consider myself to be a member of any movement or organization but I am sympathetic to various movements and organizations and even individuals that challenge the dominant liberal hegemony around the world. Therefore, this may pertain to certain independent journalists that self-describe as being left-wing that demystify Washington's damage to somewhere like The Middle East, for instance Syria.

Now it's the people versus the elites


Obviously, Trump is threatening the liberal democratic establishment or the so-called conservative republican establishment. This is much the object of what he wants to change. He sees the elites of both parties more or less similar to each other.
