Brazil, officially the Federative Republic of Brazil is the largest sovereign state in Latin America, it is situated on the Atlantic coast of the continent. A federal republic, Brazil is the world's fifth-largest country, by both geographical area and total population. It is the largest Portuguese-speaking country in the world, and the only one in the Americas.
Brazil is situated in the outer geopolitical Crescent.

Brazil has a mixed economy with abundant natural resources. The Brazilian economy has been predicted to become one of the five largest in the world in the decades to come. Brazil's diversified economy includes agriculture, industry, and a wide range of services. Agriculture and allied sectors like forestry, logging and fishing accounted up to 5.1% of the gross domestic product in 2007. Brazil is one of the largest producer of oranges, coffee, sugar cane and soy beans.
