Vietnam's National Assembly approved the government's decision to revise the plans on building the first nuclear power plant in the country, which was supposed to be built with the help of Japan and Russia.

Moreover, Vietnam is planning to opt out of using nuclear energy at all.

However, this decision should not worsen Russian-Vietnamese relations. Probably, at a recent meeting of these two presidents this situation was discussed. At the same time Russian and Vietnamese leaders agreed to hold personal meetings.
