Turkey intends to strengthen its role in resolving Syrian crisis

The Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said on Saturday that Turkish authorities believe that it is time to stop the bloodshed in Syria, where innocent people are dying. Therefore, Turkey intends to be more active, to stop the risk of deterioration of the situation in the next six months.

The Turkish prime minister also said that the need to prevent the division of the country along ethnic lines, commenting on the desire of the US backed Kurds to get autonomy.

Yildirim did not specify what measures Ankara intends to take, adding only that he hopes to find a solution on Syria cooperating with Iran, Gulf countries, the United States and Russia.
