Russian border guards detained Ukrainians who tried to illegally break into Crimea

Russian border guards detained two Ukrainians who were trying to illegally get into Crimea. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the republican border department of the FSB of the Russian Federation.

The incident occurred near the  checkpoint "Armyansk" on September 3. Border Guard officers stopped the 30-year-old from Kiev who tried to enter the territory of the peninsula, bypassing the border.

Shortly before that the man arrived at the checkpoint in the car. Since he did not have the necessary customs documents for the goods, he could not pass the registration procedure and had to go back to Ukraine. However, he decided to get from Kiev to the Crimea anyway.

On August 10 in the Russian Federal Security Service detained a group of saboteurs, who prepared a series of terrorist attacks in the Crimea. On the night of 7 August they were found in the district.
