Putin: Kerch Bridge will integrate Crimea into the transport system of Russia

The bridge across the Kerch Strait should be  build not only quickly and accurately, but also it must be provided with all necessary infrastructure - highways and railways.

This was stated by Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the presidium of the State Council, which was held in Kerch. The President stressed that the government has already allocated the money for this project.

"The transport passage from the beginning of the operation of the bridge  should act as a single, coherent mechanism to ensure quick and uninterrupted communication with the Crimea", - said the head of state.

Before the meeting, Vladimir Putin visited one of the main sites of Kerch - The big ladder of Mitridat. It was built about 200 years ago on the mountain, where in ancient times Panticapaeum city was located.  Archeologists still find artifacts there.

The President ordered to protect all antiquities from looting, and the very historic place to be turned into a museum.
