Iran is going to hold three-day air defense exercises using the Russian-supplied S-300 surface-to-air missile defense system. They will be carried out almost on the whole coast of the country - an area of about 500,000 sq km.

The main purpose of the exercise has become the testing of the interaction between The Air Force, the National Police and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps. General Farzad Esmaili, commander of Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base has reported this information.
