Darco Payovich, the speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro has resigned after his party «Positive Montenegro» has gained only 1% of votes. He, as well as the current Prime Minister Milo Đukanović, was supporting Montenegro to join NATO and the EU.

The ruling party Milo Đukanović has received a total of 34 seats in the parliament. «Democratic Front», which opposes the alliance with NATO, takes 23 seats, and a coalition of «Key» - 11.

In such way places are distributed among the main political forces. Several places are belonging to smaller parties, including those representatives of the national minorities.

The results of the vote count prove that the current government Milo Đukanović has lost in comparison with the previous elections.
