Europe lifts anti-Russian sanctions

Finland’s trade minister Kai Mikkanen said that the country was going to resume the trade and economic relations with Russia, stopped in 2014.

Kai Mikkanen said that, despite the importance of maintaining the European unity, Finland is interested in the cooperation with the neighboring country on several issues.

He said: «We have a 1,300 km common border with Russia so we have many issues that have to be dealt with from time to time».

Earlier, Norway announced its plans for the resumption of the cooperation. In addition, French Minister of Finance Michel Sapin is now in Moscow. His visit symbolizes the desire of Paris to expand trade relations with Moscow.
