The President of Colombia, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Juan Manuel Santos said that the agreement with the FARC has been extended until December 31. During this time, according to his words the government hopes to make peace.

In addition to it, the delegations from the government and the FARC have taken a trip to Cuba to continue negotiations and consultations on the issues of peace.

Furthermore, at the end of October the Government of Colombia is planning to negotiate with other rebel group - the National Liberation Army (ELN), the FARC’s collaborator.
