The Belgian Federal Parliament adopted a resolution calling the government to initiate in the EU the removal of anti-Russian sanctions.
At the moment, The Foreign Affairs Commission of the Belgian parliament defines the date of its consideration.

The sanctions are noted to be detrimental to Belgium and the EU economy in the draft resolution, but also about what is not to say in Europe.

Aldo Carcaci, a lawmaker said: «By subjecting this resolution we open discussion on sanctions which primarily damage Belgian businesses, in particular crops producers».

In particular, the matter is that Russia is not one of the parts to the Ukrainian conflict, because of which the sanctions were imposed and, in addition, Moscow fulfills its obligations.

Moreover, the resolution requires the imposition of sanctions against Kiev, «which clearly infringe its obligations».
