Defense Minister of Georgia Levan Izoria has paid a visit to Azerbaijan, where he has held talks with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. They have signed a number of documents on cooperation in the framework of NATO programs between these two ministries.

Levan Izoria said: “The centuries-old friendship, good neighborly relations and strategic partnership between our peoples is a guarantee for strengthening the stability in the region. I also want to underline the active dynamics in our defense cooperation, evidenced by bilateral and trilateral formats (Azerbaijan-Turkey-Georgia)”.

In addition, Levan Izoria and Ilham Aliyev have convinced each other in recognition of the territorial integrity of each other, stressing that most of the planned activities would actually direct against Armenia. This could not but affect the fragile situation in the region.

Moreover, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin pays also a visit to Baku. He is planning to hold talks with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and participate in the meeting of the intergovernmental commission between two countries on issues of the military-technical cooperation.

Russia, unlike most Western satellites, supports the early and non-military resolution of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict.
