Weidel told Junge Freiheit that reports “should at least be linguistically honest” because “the boy and his mother were not pushed, as politicians and the media eulogize”. She said “children push each other while playing, they want to be pushed on the swing”. The victim was murdered in cold blood, Weidel pointed out. “Anyone who says otherwise taunts the victims.”
The AfD leader highlighted the special relationship between Switzerland and Eritrea that has never been discussed in Berlin. The perpetrator is an Etritrean. “No other country has received Eritreans more generously and equipped them for worldwide travel with valid documents” than Switzerland. Some 32 000 Eritreans have benefitted from this Swiss largesse.
Most are “provisionally recorded” which means in essence that they can stay as long as they want. The Frankfurt suspect even had a so-called “C permit” which is almost as good as a Swiss passport.
These migrants can all travel, and not only to Frankfurt. “Many travel to their homeland, which pursues them so ‘cruelly’ – to the wedding of the cousin, to the hospital bed of the oh-so-sick father, or just on vacation,” Weidel explained.
Nevertheless, Switzerland does not deport them, since Eritrea does not want them back. “And so they live on Swiss social assistance.”
According to Weidel, no other migrant group fits into Swiss society less, are less interested in learning the language, and could care less about finding a job.
The alleged killer of Frankfurt, however, was allegedly “an exemplary case of an integrated” individual. Weidel suggested that this ridiculous statement was just another “example of how such statements can never be taken seriously”.
The German Federal Police have meanwhile registered 43 000 unauthorized entries – and these are only those that were recorded. There may be many more unrecorded entries.
“[Interior Minister] Horst Seehofer now wants to make stations safe. As if danger only presents itself on the platform. Germans have been stabbed in front of the supermarket, kicked down subway stairs or raped in parks. If one wants to improve the feeling of security of the population, one thing would be enough: close off the borders and denounce illegals and perpetrators of violence mercilessly.”
Weidel added: “The Swiss Eritrean was – what a coincidence – supposedly mentally disturbed. Strange that offenders from migrant communities are often mentally disturbed. Does not sound like professionals.”
Serving as a member of the Federal Executive Committee and chairman of the AfD parliamentary group, Weidel said that the figures on the asylum and migrant balance sheets revealed in the first half of 2019 showed how the Federal Government’s “asylum and migration policy has failed on the whole. The ‘GroKo’ programs, which are always staged with great pomp, are nothing but expensive flops and senseless symbolic politics”.
Between September 2016 and February 2019, only 32 000 asylum seekers accepted the offer of the Federal Employment Agency, which is well below the number of 100 000 simple jobs announced by the Federal Government.
In addition, instead of the forecasted 40 000 rejections of asylum seekers who have already applied in another EU country, only 20 migrants have actually been returned.
“It is obvious that only a small proportion of the hundreds of thousands who have come to Germany after [Chancellor] Merkel’s invitation to the whole world are interested in working,” said Weidel.
Seehofer’s much-announced “repatriation agreement” have also proven to be a complete failure: “Seehofer is the epitome of the migration policy failure of this government. Instead of re-enforcing the rule of law, effectively closing and controlling borders, and reducing incentives for illegal migration into the social systems, leading representatives of the ruling parties denounce the Italian government with moral arrogance.”
Weidel also called the rise of aggressive migrants at outdoor pools as another symptom of state failure: “Again, a piece of public space and thus a piece of freedom is lost to the local population. This loss is a consequence of Chancellor Merkel’s false migration policy, which is supported by all the old parties.
“Young migrants, posing as new masters and organising the public order, rehearsing conquest and ultimately posing the question of power in society. The repeated swimming pool riots are therefore not a simple security problem, but another symptom of partial state failure.”
It is not enough to upgrade security at public pools with police and security services, according to Weidel. Instead, aggressive migrants should be kept out of public places and their misconduct punished with clear and painful sanctions including eventual expulsion and deportation.
“Empty symbolism such as the introduction of a compulsory identity card in the Düsseldorf Rheinbad, however, is a mockery for all rightful citizens. Anyone can pass through the German border and pose as a ‘refugee’ without papers, but now everyone has to present a passport at the pool’s entrance?”
