The new President Takes Office in South Korea

 On Wednesday, according to the National Electoral Commission (NEC) of South Korea, Moon Jae-In from the South Korean Democratic Party became the new president with support of 41.1 percent of voters.

The usgent elections took place after President Park Geun-hye was ousted following a corruption scandal that led to her impeachment.

New South Korean leader's Agenda

South Korea has just elected a liberal president who Wants to Resolve THAAD Problem and to develope a dialog with both the US and China. He also intends to offer a more productive diplomatic approach to North Korea.

Moon Jae-in said during the inauguration ceremony held in the country's parliament and broadcast by media outlets that there is a possibility that he would visit North Korea in future under certain circumstances: "I am ready to visit Pyongyang if it is possible". The president-elect also said that he would not allow North Korea to advance its nuclear programme.
