EU transfers tranche to Ukraine

The EU has sent the final tranche of financial assistance of 55.1 million euros to Ukraine.

The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine points out that the transfer of the tranche was completed because Kiev conducted certain reforms imposed by the EU under the agreement. Meanwhile, the full text of this agreement was known by all in Ukraine, which includes items such as the privatization of enterprises, accelerating the pension reform, continued increasing domestic energy prices and payment of foreign debts, including what it owes to Russia.

Growing of discontent

Against this background, the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine has announced data that wage arrears in the country reached a three-year maximum. However, since the start of the year alone, debt has risen by more than 6%.
