Brexit bill set for final vote

The final vote on Brexit will be held today in the House of Commons of the British Parliament.

Starting the procedure

After two days of angry debate, the Brexit Bill will enter its final stages in the House of Commons.

MPs will consider a bill to start the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union. In the case of adoption of the document, it will go to the House of Lords.

The Commons will debate the final set of amendments later, before the bill goes to its third and final reading in the Commons.

Last week, Some of the liberal Members of parliament were plotting to frustrate Theresa May's plans for a "hard Brexit" by proposing amendments. But the government defeated all amendments proposed to its Brexit bill.

The UK's strategy of full withdrawal from the European Union was announced by the prime minister Theresa May and included several specific steps: withdrawing from the European market and canceling trade agreements, terminating the European Court's jurisdiction over the territory of the kingdom, and independent control over migration. However, the prime minister stressed the need for cooperation with the EU in the field of defense and security, particularly in combating terrorism and international crime.
