At the center of US educational doctrine, in its manifestation, is exclusivity and the elitism of the American ideology both in a historical context and with respect to the current day. This is perfectly represented in Woodrow Wilson’s statement to the US Congress on April 2, 1917: “There are American principles, American policies. We should stand for no others. And they are also the principles and policies of forward looking men and women everywhere, of every modern nation, of every enlightened community”.
