"The movement of support of public institutions" in Zintan - the so-called Zintan's civil society issued an official statement in which it supported the actions of the Libyan National Army (LNA) H.Haftar in the south of the country, announced the recognition of the House of Representatives (HR) as the only legitimate legislative body of Libya and called on HR and LNA to stop foreign interference in internal affairs of Libya, to hold general presidential and parliamentary elections and to form unified state power institutions and power structures. In addition, the declaration contains a warning addressed to the leadership of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) about its suspicious practices of interfering in the internal affairs of the Libyan state, especially against the background of recent statements by Ghassan Salamé.

Along with this, the Secretary General of the Arab League declared the inadmissibility of the activities of the armed forces on Libyan territory and, in particular, Tripoli, outside the control of the government and security agencies of the country and called for an immediate resolution of this problem, which he believes will be an important step towards preparing for elections.

G.Salame, in turn, expressed the hope that the Arab League summit, which is to be held in March 2019, will contribute to the consolidation of mutual understanding between the Libyans
