Iranian President pays visit to Kyrgyzstan

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani pays a visit to Kyrgyzstan.

Hassan Rouhani and his counterpart Almazbek Atambayev have held talks in an expanded format. As a result of which, they have signed agreements in the cultural and medical fields.
The program on the long-term cooperation until 2026 has been improved.  Kyrgyzstan's President Almazbek Atambayev said that theis ten-year program “will help to develop the interaction between these two countries”.

However, a neighboring country to Kyrgyzstan – Tajikistan has recently banned the Iranian humanitarian organization that has affected relations between these states. In addition, Tajikistan also has a number of unresolved issues with Kyrgyzstan, including the one of the disputed territories.
