Bahrain: Shiite demonstrations brutally suppressed

Bahraini security forces harshly suppressed the Shiite demonstrations and rallies of solidarity with political prisoners. The police even used tear gas, and a lot of people were arrested.

Shiite Muslims are the religious majority in Bahrain at the time, but the main positions occupied by Sunnis. Many Arab experts think that the liberation of Aleppo has influenced not only on the situation in Syria, but throughout the whole Muslim world has changed its attitude in favor of the Shiites.
