During the process of investigating the meddling in the affairs of the government, South Korea arrested two former aides of President Park Geun-hye.

Ahn Jong-beom, the president’s former senior advisor for policy and and Private secretary Jeong Ho-seong were suspected of leaking confidential documents.

At the moment, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, several former presidential aides, including a friend of Park Geun-hye - Choi Sung Sil (the sectarian interference in the affairs of the government became aware due to her) were removed from their posts.

The opposition, who has a majority in parliament, has long threatened to impeach the president because of the placement of US missile defense system. However, there is a real chance for it.
